Internships
The Douglas Institute holds a unique position in the network of Quebec teaching institutions. It is the only psychiatric teaching hospital in the McGill network and one of only three psychiatric hospitals in Quebec.
The Research Centre welcomes more than 150 trainees annually and the hospital receives more than 340 trainees every year from all disciplines:
- Nursing
- Continuing Medical Education
- Psychology
- Occupational Therapy/Specialized Education
- Nutrition
- Social Work
Students who are interested in an internship at the Douglas Institute must first contact the training coordinator at their college or university.
In 2009-2010, we welcomed 347 trainees — an increase of 3% over the previous year. (excluding the Research Centre)
