Mental illness and children


The theme of the 2010 Session of Mini-Psych School is mental illness in children, adolescents and young adults.  Each of the 4 classes was given by an expert from the Douglas Institute and explored the research and clinical experience in psychiatry and psychology.

The 2010 Session was both in English and French and was overseen by Camillo Zacchia, PhD, Psychologist at the Douglas Institute.

Gustavo Turecki, MD, PhD, is Director of the McGill Group for Suicide Studies (MGSS) at the Douglas Institute. In 2009, Gustavo Turecki was named Scientist of the year by Radio‑Canada for his work on epigenetics.
