Loneliness is often presented as a source of suffering, which it can most definitely be. But it can also help us better understand who we are, cultivate our inner life and even lead to a greater sense of fulfilment. During this lecture, we will reflect on loneliness by addressing a series of questions, including How do you nurture loneliness? How do you overcome it? When is loneliness destructive and when is it constructive? Why are we so afraid of being alone? and Does technology really fill all the voids in our lives? We will also take the opportunity to explain the differences between isolation, emptiness and loneliness.
