Description of the study :
The study is looking at the role of genes and stress hormones in the causes of eating disorders. It will help to better understand how eating disorders develop and how to improve their treatment.

Functionning
- A three hour long appointment the complete the procedures; a blood draw and some interviews on various psychological and emotional factors.
- A second visit where the participant will bring back some take-home materials; questionnaires and saliva samples.
Risks and discomforts
The participant will be asked to take a medication (0.5mg of dexamethasone) which imitates the body's natural occurring stress hormone and is not known to produce significant side effects.
Eligibility criteria :
- No past or current Eating Disorder
- Must be a woman between the ages of 18 and 45 years old
- BMI must be between 18 and 35
- No use of steroids or cortisone creams
- No past or current psychiatric disorders
- No use of prescribed medication
- Phone screening will be administered to verify eligibility
