Psychologist – Senior advisor, Douglas Institute
Camillo Zacchia received a PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University in 1987. From 1997 to 2011, he was the chief psychologist at the Douglas Mental health University Institute. He was also chair of the Douglas Clinical Ethics Committee from 2003 to 2010. He left this position to develop and manage the Mental Health Education Office (MHEO).
Today, as senior advisor for the MHEO, he coordinates and develops training programs for the general public and our partners. Camillo Zacchia is currently vice-chair of the board for the organization Phobies-Zéro.
Camillo Zacchia is an occasional contributor to The Gazette and publishes a regular column in the The Huffington Post Canada and Le Huffington Post Québec. His book Parts of life is available on our online store.
Camillo Zacchia also writes a blog Psychospeak with Dr. Z which brings together scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and common sense to the world around us.
