How do I become a volunteer?
Teaming up
Patients are referred to the Volunteer Department.
A coordinator meets patients individually, or as a group, to evaluate their
interests, needs, preferences
and the level of support required.
After an evaluation, volunteers are teamed
up with a patient, or a group of patients,
based on their common interests, and the
volunteer's availability, skills,
and interests.
Support for volunteers
Volunteers receive advice and support from
the coordinator, information sessions,
and group meetings.
