A Quebec working group has translated two important documents on the subject of recovery: “Making Recovery a Reality,” for mental health professionals, and “Implementing Recovery,” for administrators. The official versions of both documents, written by Geoff Shepherd, Jed Boardman, and Mike Slade, are available on the Web site of the Centre for Mental Health UK.

The translation of these documents was made possible by a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The project was managed by Myra Piat, Sonia Côté, Catherine Briand, and Janina Komaroff in collaboration with a working group of some forty individuals from various backgrounds, including users, administrators, care givers, and researchers.

The working group has agreed to continue its efforts, creating a community of practice in the field of recovery this fall.
The French documents will officially be launched at the AQRP conference at the end of October 2012.
