On October 9, The Douglas Institute was proud to celebrate 70 years of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) in Quebec with the unveiling of an anniversary plaque in the Douglas Hall.

The master of ceremony, Dr. John Sader, introduced the numerous guests, including our CEO, Lynne McVey, and Dr. Jacques Tremblay, President, Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists at the Douglas Institute.

When we look at the evolution of the AA movement in Quebec, we can be proud: from the initiative of a patient at the Douglas in the forties, Dave B., who introduced the AA in Quebec, to the strength of today’s AA, what an achievement!
