In nothing short of a grand success, the Douglas Hospital welcomed 1,000 visitors of all ages on Saturday, June 17, in honour of its 125th anniversary. As little ones romped on giant inflatable toys, 300 volunteers entertained and educated the bulk of the visitors at lab exhibits, educational kiosks, historic films, bus tours and more.

At day’s end, high-powered performances by Luc de Larochellière and Marabu energized the audience, and speeches were presented by Director General Jacques Hendlisz, Beneficiaries’ Committee Co-President Louise Daigneault, Mayor of Verdun Claude Trudel, and MNA for Verdun and Minister of Government Services Henri-François Gautrin.

The master of ceremonies was Professional Chief of Psychology Camillo Zacchia. It was an unforgettable day of community spirit—the time to share what the Douglas does so well.
