Tina Montreuil, a researcher and clinical psychologist with the Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychoses (PEPP-Montréal) at the Douglas Institute, was honoured twice this month, as she received a Champions of Mental Health Award from the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) and was named a finalist in the ARISTA competition organized by the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal.

The Champions of Mental Health Awards were handed out in the presence of the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, in Ottawa on May 6. This award recognizes the outstanding contribution of individuals and organizations to promoting mental health in Canada.

Tina Montreuil was also nominated in the “young Quebec professional” category for the 2013 ARISTA competition organized by the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. “I am happy that the Douglas and mental health are being recognized in this way among Montreal's young business community,” explained Tina Montreuil.

The winners of the ARISTA competition will be announced at a gala on May 29.
