Research at the Eating Disorders Program addresses various aspects of the phenomenology, etiology, and treatment of eating disorders in the spectrum of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.

The Mood, Anxiety and Impulsivity Disorders Program at the Douglas Institute provides care to people aged 18 to 65 years with a mood disorder such as Bipolar disorders or Depressive and suicide disorders.

Fellowships provide support for senior residents who wish to add to their experience by engaging in mental health research and related activities in the Institute. Candidacy must be approved by the Chair of Psychiatry.

Pierre Étienne is a psychiatrist in the geriatric psychiatry program of the Douglas Institute. He is interested in the early development of medication and in Alzheimer's Disease.

Marcelo Berlim is mainly interested in the study and treatment of depressive disorders with the use of state-of-the-art neuromodulation techniques.
