The 2011 series “Between Head and Heart” encompasses seven classes that allow us to gain a better understanding of mental illness.

The series was produced in French this year.

160 people attended the classes, which were filmed at the Douglas last fall.

The classes were webcasted live for the first time in order to reach a wider community. It was a success: It allowed 51 people from the entire province to benefit from the knowledge of our experts.

In fact, 70% of this year’s participants were attending for the first time.

The courses were supervised by Camillo Zacchia, Ph. D., Psychologist and Senior Advisor, Mental Health Education Office (MHEO) at the Douglas Institute.

So far, 1,125 students have participated in the Mini-Psych School courses, and more than 426,000 people have viewed them on YouTube.
