On Friday, October 3, 2014, Lynne McVey met with Jacques Daoust, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Exports and Member for Verdun, when he presented the Quebec government’s economic vision to the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.

Ms. McVey assured the Minister of the pivotal role that the Douglas Institute must play in improving access to mental health services in Montreal and across Quebec. “The main issue in this reform is providing the patient with access to the right care at the right time,” said Ms. McVey.  To this end, it will be critical for the Douglas Institute to ensure that its status and mission as a mental health university institute is recognized by the Health Ministry.
