January 8th, around 170 employees attended the Douglas in Action Program Launch. Each of the Lean Six Sigma Healthcare projects already implemented was presented in the Douglas Hall basement.

«This event is a really good way to show our achievements and I’m looking forward to acknowledge all the Institute member proposals», confied Mrs Lynne McVey, the Douglas’ CEO. Together, with Dr Mimi Israel, Michel Laverdure and Caroline Dubé, Mrs McVey affixed the seal of senior management. The Institute is currently moving toward a continous improvement culture.

It is with great enthusiasm that the projects owners have revealed their results, methodology and testimonies. As a whole, seven projects were presented. All more interesting than the other, they have improved the internal hiring process, the cafeteria, the intervention plans for the  patients and the admission of patients.

Others have facilitated transfers from the second to the first line for the psychotic patients and from the RUIS McGill to the Douglas. While eating finger food, visitors asked all kind of questions and attended the Lean Six Sigma Healthcare training.

Let’s not forget that in 2014, the Douglas Institute received an important grant to perpetuate its continous improvement culture and its excellence, innovation and collaboration values. It is in that spirit that the Douglas in Action Project Office has designed all the posters and has organized this event high in color.

The Douglas in actions program supports all the teams who implement a continuous improvement project. It helps managers with project management and the Lean Six Sigma Healthcare approach. It proposes change management coaching and makes your entire projects shine either within your team, the Institute or the general public. In fact, each of your services will receive a custom support.

Therefore, we want to thank all implicated Douglas in Action enlarged team members for this event organization and the presentation.
