Lynne McVey, RN, M.Sc., Executive Director of the Douglas University Institute, warmly welcomes the appointment of Benoît Morin as the head of the Centre intégré universitaire de la santé et des services sociaux (CIUSSS) de l’Ouest de l’Île-de-Montréal.

“On behalf of the clinical, research, technical support and administrative teams of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulate Benoît Morin on his appointment as Executive Director of the CIUSSS de l’Ouest de l’Île de Montréal. I wish to assure him of my support and collaboration. I would also like to restate my commitment to do everything within my power to ensure that the reorganization of health care and social services takes place in a harmonious fashion, in order to deliver positive concrete results in the near future, for the population of Quebec. We have a unique opportunity ahead of us to improve access to, and the continuity and fluidity of, health care and social services for the entire population of West Montreal, as well as for those regions where we already provide specialized services,” said Lynne McVey.

Benoît Morin’s experience with young people, as well as in first-line care, is very closely aligned with our priorities, in particular in regard to early intervention in health care for young people.
