On June 21, 2007 the Douglas Institute Foundation was delighted to unveil artwork by Anne Eaton Parker, generously donated to the Douglas by Mtre Maurice Forget of Fasken Martineau, long-time donor and a director of the Institute Foundation. More than 20 people gathered in the Maurice Forget Conference Room of Douglas Hall for a beautiful reception, and speeches by Marie Giguère, President of the Foundation Board of Directors, and Jacques Hendlisz, Director General of Douglas Institute.

Among the esteemed guests were Claudette Allard, Nicole Germain, and Jane Lalonde of the Douglas Institute, Peter MacKell, Marie Winkler, Marsha and Lawrence Yelin of Fasken Martineau, Joseph Iannicelli and Geneviève Faribault of Standard Life, Joyce Millar of Stewart Hall Art Gallery, Gay Speirs and Yvonne Zacios.

The artist, Anne Eaton Parker is a Forget family friend and lives in New England. This particular piece was purchased by Mtre Forget after being shown at Arts Sutton and at the Stewart Hall Art Gallery in Pointe-Claire. At 87, Anne Eaton Parker was excited to have her first showing outside the United States.
