Mental Health Info

One of the Douglas Institute's missions is to prevent mental illness, support recovery, and contribute to destigmatizing mental illness. The "Mental Health Info" section gives simple, practical and reliable information and has been validated by Douglas specialists.

The Douglas Institute does not provide assessment or consultation services over the phone or by e-mail to people who have not been referred to or who are not being followed by a clinical program at the Douglas Institute. For help or information regarding personal mental health problems, we invite you to consult your doctor, or go to the “accueil psychosocial” (entry point) at your CSSS. In the case of a crisis or emergency, you may go to the emergency or a community crisis centre.
