For a long time, our way of addressing mental health problems has fed prejudice. This behaviour has made recovery more difficult for people with mental health problems. This course gives us new ways of looking at mental illness that fights stigmatization. Janina is a young woman with a Master's degree in political science who was working as a United Nations volunteer in Burundi when she started suffering from a psychotic disorder. Since then, she received treatment and now lives a satisfying life. This is how she defines recovery.
