Accreditation Canada has awarded the Institution unconditional accreditation until 2011. Its results were among the best in the country.

Innovative and internationally-recognized research

Brain scanDouglas Institute scientists are expanding the knowledge base related to the causes of mental illness (genetic, environmental, cultural and social), diagnostic tools and treatments; and the identification of preventive measures.
Their objectives are to:

  • Facilitate collaborative research with Douglas clinical services and their community partners

Green and Responsible – The Douglas awarded BOMA BESt

On October 29, 2009, the Douglas was awarded a level 2 BOMA BESt accreditation. This accreditation certifies that the Douglas applies best practices in terms of energy, water consumption, waste volume reduction, greenhouse gas emissions, indoor environment and environmental management system.

The graphic design of the logo has been officially approved by the different boards of directors at the Douglas (Hospital, Research Centre and Foundation). It can therefore not be changed in any way.

Any user or supplier who uses or reproduces the visual identity of the Douglas Institute must meet the graphic standards.
